About Marrian Foundation
Marrian Foundation is a testament to compassion and corporate social responsibility. It was founded by John Benedict and his wife, Florence Noah Bangalore, in Bengaluru. This registered public charitable trust emerged from a profound commitment to uplift the ones in need of empowerment, focusing on children, students, young adults, and the elderly.
The foundation operates projects with multiple focus points, including education, healthcare, sports, and environment & sustainability. With a team of professionals driving the community development strategy, we have a strong grassroots that connects across intervention locations, as the broader face of social engagement of Marrian Infra in India

“I ventured out on my own and founded Marrian Infra. That was also the period when I renewed my involvement in social activities. I was now in a better position to realise many of my dreams in this regard.
I consider 2023 the year when the Marrian Foundation truly took shape, becoming more active. Rather than initiating independent projects, I chose to collaborate with those already dedicated to caring for the less fortunate – the orphans, the destitute, the homeless, the elderly, the sick, single mothers, and more. Today, that dream has now become a reality. I am happy and grateful to God that the Marrian Foundation is no longer just an idea but a registered social and public charitable trust.
With the formal launch of this trust, we open our hearts and hands wide – to reach out, embrace, and nurture. Inspired by Mother Teresa, the saint of our century and our nation, we extend our hand to all. My wife, Florence, and I invite you to join the Marrian Foundation in supporting those in need and creating a better, happier world. Let us all follow the guiding star.”
Florence John Benedict
Co-Founder
Florence John Benedict is an accomplished professional with a strong educational foundation and extensive academic and healthcare experience. Her unique blend of holding a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing), and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSc Nursing) has allowed her to excel in a variety of roles throughout her career.
Florence began her professional journey in hospital settings, where she gained hands-on experience in patient care and nursing practice. With a strong clinical foundation, she transitioned into academia as a lecturer at St. Teresa College of Nursing, where she played a key role in shaping future nursing professionals. Her dedication to education and ability to weave real-world insights into her teaching left a lasting impact on her students.
Currently, Florence serves as the Director of Marrian Infra and a lifetime Trustee of the Marrian Foundation. In these roles, she leverages her leadership skills and deep understanding of healthcare, business, and social service to drive strategic initiatives and community impact. Her journey reflects a lifelong commitment to learning, professional growth, and meaningful contribution across diverse fields.
Francis Fernandez
Programme Director
Sir Francis brings with him a rich experience in the field of education, social service, organisation and management at various levels of administration. Teaching, planning, monitoring and evaluation have been his forte, and he has seen him plan many an enterprise and carry them forward to their successful conclusion.
He is a man with a head and a heart who gives priority to the person with much patience, understanding and empathy. He guides and coordinates in such a way that those being led feel totally at ease and enthused. He pays attention to the details while being focused on the essentials of each project. A systematic and speedy approach to all issues adds to the quality of his contribution.
